Neuse River Networks, a long time supporter of Trees Across Raleigh
invites you to grab a shovel, put on some work clothes and come
on out and plant trees across Raleigh. The next Trees Across Raleigh
tree planting project is scheduled for Saturday, November 4 at Pullen
Park. About 120 trees, including some large oaks, will be planted
throughout the park to replace trees damaged from past hurricanes.
Volunteers are needed to assist in the planting and clean-up efforts.
Please bring hard-tine rakes, shovels, pitchforks, gloves, and wheelbarrows.
Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Trees Across Raleigh is a non-profit organization dedicated to
improving the City of Raleigh's appearance, fostering greater community
pride, and promoting economic development by planting trees throughout
the city. Our volunteers plant trees in public rights-of-way, along
public medians, and in public parks. Previous Trees Across Raleigh
plantings have improved the appearance of Glenwood Avenue near Five
Points, New Bern Avenue near Wake Med, Millbrook Exchange Park,
Fletcher Park, Chavis Park, Marsh Creek Park, Buffaloe Road Athletic
Park, Pullen Park and Method Road Park.
Trees Across Raleigh welcomes the support of our corporate partners
including Richard Taylor and Taylor's Nursery, Jim Niver and Capital
Creations Pizza, Jim Ray of Neuse River Networks and a great big
thank you to REI for the financial support and partnership with
Trees Across Raleigh on this project.
